Compared to camera and lidar, radar data seems highly abstract to the human observer. However, with proficient processing, the benefits of radar clearly outweigh this apparent obstacle: Radar sensors are highly robust to vision limitations. In addition, smart preprocessing significantly reduces data rates.

MOVEMENT DATA MINING

Radar enables an unparalleled analysis of behavioral and movement patterns. Gait (walking) or idle poses are highly dependent on the individual. Even small movements like gestures and breathing can be processed by radar. We can go even deeper: Radar can resolve skin vibrations caused by the heartbeat and therefore enable contactless pulse monitoring.
